NEWS – SPRING 2011

With the coldest winter in many years behind us, now is a great time to visit. New displays have been opened (see below), the toilet block has undergone some renovations and is all fresh and new. The gardens are blooming, the birds are chirping and everything is ready for a relaxing day out.

Important Advice
Top up with fuel prior to visiting us. Although the local Anakie General Store has bowsers, they have only been in operation intermittently over the past months. The next closest petrol station is a 20 minute drive away, so we’d recommend topping up just in case.

BYO BBQ BAN

For safety reason we have had to put in place a ban on bringing your own BBQ’s into the picnic grounds. In the past we’ve relied on people to not cause any fire hazards but it seems that common sense isn’t so common anymore. But not to worry, there are ample electric BBQ’s for you to use. They operate
on a $1 coin which lasts about 15minutes.

NEW DRAGON DISPLAY

It’s all finished and open for fun. After 18 months
of work by our highly skilled dragon making team, the Magic Dragon is all ready and waiting for you to come along and be awestruck. Over 4 meters high and 15 meters long, this happy dragon is a photo opp not to be missed.
